All community members are subject to random drug screens and daily breathalyzing. This is a critical part of our routine to ensure accountability. We provide the new comer with built in peer-based support, where help and a sense of fellowship, which is much needed in early recovery, can be found. At Tharros House, we combine a sober community with aftercare, assisting our clients as they acquire new skills to meet life’s challenges in a fresh and encouraging way. Our mission is to help our clients achieve long-term recovery, move on from feelings of shame, and learn how to live a fulfilled life. MASH Initiatives
Job descriptions include staff responsibilities, eligibility, and knowledge, skills and abilities needed to deliver services. Ideally, eligibility to deliver services includes lived experience recovering from substance use disorders and the ability to reflect recovery principles. Peer support interactions among residents are facilitated to expand responsibilities for personal and community recovery.

We Also Offer Less Structured Sober Living
Community members are all people in recovery who are actively working a program of recovery. Our main focus is to provide a safe and sober environment for recovering addicts and alcoholics. We wish to help people grow and return to society as productive members. We believe in working a recovery continuum that best suits each individual. The Willing House is a MASH Certified Peer-Based Independent Living Community for Men and Women in Recovery.

Transition (e.g. entry, phase movement and exit) rituals promote residents’ sense of belonging and confer progressive status and increasing opportunities within the recovery living environment and community. The Willing House provides independent living, with accountability, continuing and continuity of recovery for those who want to learn a new way to live. At Tharros House, we take a custom approach to each client, starting with a full understanding of each client’s needs and goals. Our team connects with each client’s clinical providers to help understand what supports are needed before he arrives at Tharros. Teras, also located in Lexington MA, offers a less structured, but still supportive model of high standards sober living.
